Amy Higgins

Amy graduated with a 2:1 in Fine Art from the Belfast School of Art, University of Ulster, in 2016 and advanced to a master’s degree.

She received a distinction for her master’s degree in which she developed ideas around Barbara Creeds monstrous feminine, the sublime, the uncanny, and Hannah Arendt’s notions around the human condition.

She has exhibited in a number of galleries in Belfast, including a solo show in Goose Lane Gallery, which she curated in conjunction with her degree show in 2016.

Now located in a studio within the Queen Street Studios complex, in East Belfast, she recently exhibited two pieces for their launch night exhibition, and was ‘Artist of the Month’ in August 2019.  Amy also participated in EastSide Arts Festival.
